We’ve packaged our software for every major operating system. Below you can read the quick start guides for each version. For most participants in the study these guides will be sufficient, for more advanced users we posted more detailed guides on each version’s GitHub repository.<\/p>\n

The automation scripts utilize the open source software RxDock<\/a>, provided by RxTx<\/a>. RxDock only uses your system’s CPU for docking, this means that using additional and\/or better graphics cards (GPUs) does not speed up processing.<\/p>\n

Administrators of computers with a high logical core count (128 or more) are invited to contact us, in case they would be interested in donating more processing power to our project.<\/p>\n

  1. Download the installer (SiDockSetup.exe<\/strong>) using the button below and run it.<\/li>
  2. Follow the on screen instructions, after the installation has finished you will find an icon to run\u00a0SiDock<\/strong>\u00a0on your desktop.<\/li>
  3. Run SiDock<\/strong>, set your interface language using the (EN\/SI) slider, next set how many threads you would like to use and if you would like the software to automatically continue with the next package.<\/li>
  4. Next click the<\/strong>\u00a0<\/i> button<\/strong> to start docking. You can minimize the window and leave it running in the backgorund.<\/li>
  5. You can stop <\/strong>the software anytime using the<\/strong>\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0button<\/b>.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      1. Download the archive linked below and unpack in a directory of your choice<\/li>
      2. Run\u00a0covid-solver.\u00a0If GateKeeper prevents the software from running, open it by right clicking and pressing Open.<\/i><\/b><\/li>
      3. Press <return> to agree to the terms of use.<\/li>
      4. Specify how many threads you would like the software to utilize and\u00a0press <return><\/b>.\u00a0A higher thread count means faster processing.<\/i><\/li>
      5. In this step you can set a \u201cnice\u201c value, which defines the software’s priority. We advise you to\u00a0first run the software with 0<\/b>, and raise the value if you notice your computer getting slower.
        *Setting a negative nice value requires running the script as root!<\/i><\/li>
      6. Specify if you would like to save the output files. You\u00a0do not need to save them<\/b>, as they are uploaded to our server prior to deletion.<\/li>
